Maniathada

It's common not to understand Shibari. For someone watching, especially from the outside, it's easy to misunderstand, easy to wonder what's pleasurable about being tied up and manipulated by another person, sometimes a stranger. I am Maniathada, and there, among those ropes and in that flight, I feel free. Liberated by the deepest parts of myself, so wild, sensual and sexual. There, my inner self becomes freedom, and paths never before taken by arousal travel along strange trails. In that moment, I grow; in that finitude, I find eternity. And to those who watch from the outside, I mercy them, and I swang infinitely among their incredulous eyes.
